The low dashboard is positioned for maximum driver visibility, as is the performance information displayed on the crystal clear, 7″ LCD digital display. Configured to heighten Subaru BRZ’s thrilling performance, the motorsports-inspired cockpit delivers an energy that’s pure adrenaline. The driver-focused interior has been engineered to curate the driving experience to your mood. Simply tweak the digital instrument cluster to display vital vehicle stats tuned into every performance function. Intuitive switches put you in control and information is displayed loud and clear on the 7″ LCD digital display and classic sports-style performance gauges – including a power and torque curve, as well as a stopwatch function for performance measurements.

Subaru EyeSight® Driver Assist

Adaptive Cruise Control

The smart Adaptive Cruise Control function maintains the speed range set by the driver, but also tracks the vehicle in front and automatically adjusts your speed to ensure you remain at a constant, pre-set distance. The distance maintained from the vehicle in front can be adjusted via the EyeSight® steering wheel button, to suit the speed you are travelling.

 

Lane Departure Warning

Maintain your sporty driving lines effortlessly and safely, with this EyeSight® feature which watches the road lane markings and constantly monitors your vehicle’s position within them. It then alerts you, via an audible and visual warning, if it detects that the vehicle is potentially moving out of the lane.

 

Pre-Collision Braking System

This autonomous braking system helps the driver slow down or come to a complete stop if a car, pedestrian or obstacle is detected in front of the vehicle by the EyeSight® cameras. The system alerts the driver and if they fail to take evasive action, the brakes can be applied automatically to help prevent a potential impact.

Subaru's Vision Assist

Reverse Automatic Braking (RAB)​

Feel a genuine connection to your surroundings when you’re reversing. BRZ’s rear sonar sensors will alert you if an object is detected behind the vehicle. Then if you don’t react to the warning, Reverse Automatic Braking can apply the brakes if a collision is imminent. Available on automatic transmission BRZ variants, this function helps avoid or reduce the severity of a rear collision.

 

Blind Spot Monitor

Using rear radar sensors, Blind Spot Monitor can detect approaching vehicles and warn the driver. A warning light appears on the side mirror to indicate the presence of a vehicle in the blind spot and if the driver indicates to move out of their lane, the light will flash a further warning.​ ​

 

High Beam Assist​

Monitoring the road ahead, High Beam Assist (HBA) supports the driver by adjusting the head lamps to the conditions. In low light conditions HBA can automatically turn on high beam to provide a deeper field of vision if there’s an empty road ahead. While HBA will switch to low beam when an oncoming vehicle is detected.​

Body of evidence

For an overwhelming feeling of protection, extensive Subaru research and knowledge has been harnessed in the manufacturing and engineering which drives the most advanced Subaru BRZ chassis ever. The full inner frame structure, combined with a passenger safety cell to absorb and direct the impact of a collision around the cabin, rather than through it. The horizontally-opposed Boxer engine ‘submarines’ under the floor during a severe frontal collision to protect the cabin’s occupants. While crushable zones are engineered to absorb collision energy to effectively protect passengers. While the inclusion of seven SRS* airbags in Subaru BRZ can help reduce the possibility of serious injury in the event of a serious accident.
