The new generation Subaru Impreza WRX STI is the pinnacle of Advanced Driving Technology from Subaru.

For the past 16 years, no rock, road, dirt track, mud pit or hail thundering tempest has stood in the way of our quest to dominate the unforgiving World Rally Championship (we’ve won 6 in the process), and with that, testing and improving the living daylights out of our advanced driving technologies.

The Impreza WRX STI has been our rally platform, or should we say, torture rack, of choice for the past 13 years. And now, as if that wasn’t tough enough, the Subaru World Rally team have turned the screws a bit further, by adding direct design input of their own to refine the new STI into an absolutely, obedient joy for any driver to own.

With 221 kW of power and 407 Nm of torque, a Driver Controlled Centre Differential, Subaru Intelligent Drive, Subaru Intelligent Chassis, Multi-mode VDC stability control and of course our legendary constant All-Wheel Drive system you get a performance package unmatched by any sports car under $100,000.

SI-DRIVE (Subaru Intelligent Drive)

SI-DRIVE enables the driver to choose three different engine map settings on the move.

The 3 modes are: Intelligent Mode (I) - Smooth, efficient economy driving; Sport Mode (S) - All round performance; Sport # Mode (S#) - Truly dynamic engine performance.

From the most responsive exhilarating performance mode (S#) to smooth operating city drive mode (I), you can now enjoy the potential of Impreza WRX STI engine in all situations.

5-Star ANCAP* Occupant Safety Rating

The new Impreza WRX STI has achieved the maximum 5-Star ANCAP* occupant saftey rating and is equipped with dual front, dual front side & curtain front and rear SRS# airbags.

The new more rigid passenger safety cell on the STI has been specially strengthened and is designed to absorb energy in the event of a collision.

Multi-Mode VDC
(Vehicle Dynamics Control) System

Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) is a stability control system. It is designed to give you optimum control in emergencies.

To provide more freedom to the drivers in controlling and handling performance of the new Impreza WRX STI, the system is fitted wuth a multi-mode VDC System.

6 speed transmission

Based on an in-house developed 6-speed manual transmission which has already gained a reputation for its preciseness and durability. The shift feeling has been enhanced right through to the performance end of the rev range. There have been 2 main improvements with the transmission.

1). A new triple-cone synchronizer at the 1st gear shift operation force was reduced by 30%.

2). Internal friction was reduced by modifying the design of shift sleeves at 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6 shifting mechanism.

18" alloy wheels

18 inch 5 spoke aluminium alloy cast wheels with STI logo sitting on 245/40R18 Dunlop (SP600) tyres adds to the street presence of the high performance Impreza WRX STI.

STI sports seats

Impreza WRX STI come standard with leather and alcantara sports bucket seats. The sports bucket seats provide greater driver comfort and support.
